Meet Marcia McLeod

Meet Marcia McLeod

Marcia McLeod is originally from London and has called Abu Dhabi home for over 26 years. She’s a mum of three adult children, a lifelong learner, and the founder of Aligned Growth Consulting. As a Classic Builder with a 1/3 Public Role, she’s designed to respond, then wait for clarity, which means a lot of researching, experimenting, and learning through real-life experience is simply how she moves through the world.

Before she ever found BG5, Marcia had already spent around four years learning, practicing, and working with Human Design. She loved the system and the transformation she could see it creating, but over time she noticed what she was most drawn to: how people communicate, why connection and community matter so much to some people, how we naturally work alongside others, and how understanding these things builds confidence and self-trust.

Something else started happening too. As the people she worked with went through their own transformations, several of them began saying the same thing: “Oh my gosh, we need to bring this into the workplace.” That planted a seed. With a professional background already rooted in education and corporate environments, discovering BG5 felt less like a coincidence and more like something arriving at exactly the right time.

Marcia completed the Foundation Course fully intending to move straight into certification. Life had a different plan, and the timing shifted. But the feeling that she was meant to pursue BG5 never went away. If anything, it got stronger. More opportunities kept presenting themselves in corporate spaces, and she could see how this work connected every thread of her experience: education, communication, confidence, personal development, business, and the workplace. Beginning the certification eventually felt less like a forced plan and more like the natural next step.

She’s now approaching the end of her BG5 Consultant Certification, and the opportunities already coming her way keep affirming she’s on the right path. Through Aligned Growth Consulting, she supports individuals, entrepreneurs, and teams in understanding how they naturally work, make decisions, communicate, and contribute, with a particular love for working with women navigating change: building a business, questioning a career direction, stepping into greater visibility or leadership, or simply recognizing that the way they’ve always worked no longer feels right.

Even the name Aligned Growth wasn’t random. It reflects what Marcia believes about meaningful transformation: growth doesn’t have to come from constantly pushing, proving, or trying to become someone else. It can come from understanding ourselves more deeply and building from what’s already naturally there. That belief is personal for her. She knows what it feels like to lack confidence and to make decisions based on how she thought she should live, work, or show up. Human Design and BG5 haven’t removed every challenge or given her all the answers, but they’ve given her a stronger foundation for understanding herself, trusting her process, and continuing to move forward. She’s also discovered that being willing to share the challenges, not just the polished outcome, is often what resonates with and inspires others most.

Right now, she’s pouring her energy into completing her certification, growing Aligned Growth Consulting, and expanding her work with teams and organizations. As part of her final project, she’s working with a team of three women to explore their individual Career Designs and the collective dynamics of their business, a project that feels like a natural bridge between the work she’s already been doing and where her consulting company is headed.

What lights her up is witnessing the moment something clicks for someone: the moment they stop seeing themselves as the problem and start recognizing the intelligence in how they’re naturally designed. In life, she’s lit up by meaningful conversations, community, laughter, good food, time with the people she loves, and creating space to actually enjoy the life and business she’s building.

Her advice for anyone just starting out: you don’t have to feel completely confident or have everything figured out before you begin. Confidence is usually built through the experience of showing up, experimenting, and discovering what works for you. The challenges and uncertainties along the way aren’t necessarily signs you’re on the wrong path. Sometimes they’re simply part of becoming the person who’s ready to walk it.

Thank you, Marcia, for sharing your story with us! 🙏🏻
